Carroll Christopher

September 15, 1951 — June 19, 2018

Candler - Carroll Lee Christopher, 66, passed away on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at St. Joseph Campus of Mission Hospitals.

A native of Buncombe County, he was a son of the late Carroll Aldin and Georgia Pauline Warren Christopher. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Mae West Christopher, who died in 1993 and a sister, Pamela Raines. Carroll loved camping, fishing and going to mud slings.

He is survived by two daughters, Eleanor Simons (James) of New Bern and Ruby Stocks (Ronnie) of Waynesville; one sister, Barbara Bradford of Candler; two brothers, Ray Christopher of Mars Hill and Ronald Christopher of Candler; ten grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 23, 2018 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to SARGE'S Animal Rescue Foundation, P. O. Box 854, Waynesville, NC 28786.
