Carroll Chambers

Canton, Carroll W. Chambers, age 72, formerly of the Bethel Community, passed away on Sunday, October 28, 2012. A native of Haywood County, he was the son of Ralley Oscar Chambers and Evelyn Reece Chambers Freeman. He worked as a project manager in construction and loved fishing and being outdoors. He is survived by a daughter, Belinda Chambers Vaughan of Sharon, South Carolina; two sons, Mark A. Chambers of Lexington, South Carolina and Tim Thomasson of Louisiana; two stepsons, Tommy Hefner of Tennessee and Scott Crider of Hickory; one brother, Rex Chambers; two grandchildren, Lauren Chambers and Kinley Sanborn and two step-grandchildren, Emma Crider and Michelle Hefner. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 1, 2012 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Dr. Roy Kilby officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:30 until 12:45 p.m. prior to services at the funeral home.
