Carolyn Wilkes

Carolyn Matthews Wilkes, age 76, passed away on Wednesday March 19, 2014 at The Homestead in Clyde. A native of Sampson County, she was the daughter of the late Radford and Gladys Williams Matthews. She was also preceded in death by a son, Ricky Wilkes. She was a retired employee of J. P. Stevens in Wagram, North Carolina. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Ervin Wilkes of Clyde; a daughter, Debbie Odom and her husband, Reverend Mike Odom of Morganton; a brother, Grayson Matthews and his wife, Carol of Elkhorn, Wisconsin; two granddaughters, Michelle Odom James and her husband, Allen; Danielle Odom and her fiancée, David Snyder; and a great-granddaughter, Riley James.
