Carolyn Anders Medford

Carolyn Lee Anders Medford, 72, of Kings Mountain passed away on June 14, 2025, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 2, 1952, in Waynesville NC. She is preceded in death by her mother Affie Geneva Knight Anders of Waynesville, Brothers Lonnie Anders of Union SC and Johnny Anders of Waynesville.

She is survived by son, Charlie Medford (Christie) of Canton, NC, daughter, Jessica Weatherman of Nashville, TN, stepson, Jared Steward, grandsons, Scott (Steven) Mathison, Jeffery Weatherman, Levi and Adam Medford, a great grandson, Xander Mathison, her companion of 20 years Wayne Steward, a brother, Gene Anders (Barbara), a sister, Jo Ellen Arrington (Robert), and special nephews Chris Anders (Angie) and Bobby Arrington.

She was loved by the many friends she had made through the years. She worked at Dayco Rubber Plant from 1971-1997. Following the closure of Dayco, she went back to school and graduated with her associates degree from Southwestern Community College in Cosmetology, and also worked as a Medical Tech.
