Clyde

Clyde, Carolyn Ferguson Hall, age 79, passed away on Monday, July 29, 2019 at Haywood Regional Medical Center.

A native of Madison County, she was a daughter of the late George and Edith Rogers Ferguson.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Stephen Hall, who died in 2012; a brother, David Ferguson.  She retired as a Lab Technologist from Haywood County Hospital with 32 years of service.  While Carolyn was a member of First Baptist Church of Clyde, she was active in Women Missionary Union and sang in the choir prior to becoming a member of Woodland Baptist Church.  Carolyn enjoyed arts and crafts and camping and boating with her husband.

Carolyn is survived by a daughter, Karen Hall, of Clyde; son, Steve Hall, and his wife, Barbara, of Prosperity, South Carolina; sister-in-law, Glenna Ferguson, of Waynesville; brother-in-law, Jack Hall, and his wife, Judy; sister-in-law, Sharon Kirkpatrick, and her husband, Paul all of Clyde; and grand dog, Dizzy.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 1, 2019 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Josh Frazier officiating.  A private burial will be held at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Woodland Baptist Church, 545 Crabtree Road, Waynesville, NC 28785.
