Carol Ann Wamsher

Carol Ann Wamsher passed away on the evening of November 24, 2023, in Waynesville, NC.  Carol was born July 5, 1941, to Doward DeVeiteo and Verna Burt in Portland, Oregon.

She graduated from Jefferson high School in Portland, Oregon and later moved to Svenson, Oregon.  She was a long-time resident of Svenson.

She dedicated her life to her family, friends, and neighbors.  She enjoyed a variety of crafts, and her passion was family ancestry.  A pilar of the Clatop County Genealogical Society and Daughters of the Revolution, she helped many people connect with the tales and mysteries of their ancestors.  She worked for many years at NW regional ESD and as a tax preparer.

Carol’s legacy is lived on through her children Christy, Cindy and Rex, as well as dozens of grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She will be missed by all who knew her.

In keeping with her desire to return home, her family will celebrate her life with a journey back to Portland, Oregon where she will be buried next to the love of her life Chris Leroy Duncan.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
