"1931 – 2015" Candler – Carl Vernon (Bill) Farley, age 83, passed away Friday, May 29, 2015. He was a son of the late William Hamilton and Martha Elizabeth Green Farley. Carl was a United States Navy veteran having served in the Korean Conflict on the USS Bremerton. He is survived his wife of 52 years, Mary Hall Farley; one daughter, Melba Olena Mae Farley and her fiancé, D. E. (Mater) Pitman; three sisters, Azalea Goolsby, Marlyn McFalls and husband, Bob, and Geraldine Mann and husband, Jerry; and two brothers, Ben and Vinson (Sam) Farley and wife, Sue. A graveside service will be held 12:00 Noon, Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park with the Reverend Daniel Wilson officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:30 a.m. prior to the service at Wells Funeral Home of Canton.
