Buddy Buchanan

Whittier, NC, Buddy Lewis Buchanan, age 54, passed away on Friday, March 29, 2013. A native of Haywood County, he was the son of Lewis and Mary Francis Trantham Buchanan. He was preceded in death by a sister Martha Jane Buchanan. Buddy was a graduate of Tuscola High School and was a Heavy Equipment Operator. He loved music, hunting, fishing and whittling wood. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Glenda Cagle of Waynesville; a brother, Kenny Buchanan and his wife, Rita, of Waynesville; an aunt, Maggie Mae Parker; nieces and nephews, Jill, Jennifer and Jerry Cagle and numerous cousins. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Lloyd Allen officiating. Burial will follow at Rocky Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
