Bud Evans, Jr.

Bud “Paw” Evans, Jr., 82 of Candler went to be with the Lord on February 6, 2022, at home with his loving family, following a long illness. Paw was born on July 5, 1939 in Asheville and was preceded in death by his mother, June Austin Capps.

He is survived by his beloved wife and best friend of 56 years, Wanda “Nana” Sprouse Evans – his one and only true love; son, Buddy Evans and wife, Alicia; daughter, Roxanne Evans Warren and her husband, Wes; sister, Helen Messer; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Each one was unconditionally loved by their Paw!

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Wesley Warren officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 12:00 pm. in Wells Chapel of Faith at Forest Lawn.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105

The care of Mr. Evans has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Candler.
