Maggie Valley-Bruce Walter Entwistle, 71, of 235 Blackberry Lane died Wednesday, December 17, 2003 at Mission St. Joseph Hospital.

A native of Toronto, Canada, he had lived in Haywood County for twenty-five
years. He was the son of the late Leonard Francis and Dorothy Montgomery Entwistle and was a former owner and operator of Maggie Valley Motel and Noah's Ark Gift Shop and Entwistle Enterprises and Entwistle Painting.

Surviving are his wife of twenty-six years, Sherry Taylor Entwistle, one daughter, Stacey Dougal and her husband, Timothy of Clinton, TN, a stepdaughter, Krista Palagi and her husband, David of Bozeman, MT, a son, Jay Entwistle and his wife, Carla of Crabtree and six grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Haywood County Rescue Squad at P. O. Box 931 in Waynesville, NC 28786.
