Bruce Kemp Claytor

Bruce Kemp Claytor (70), passed away on July 24, 2023 at his home in Waynesville, NC surrounded by his family.

Bruce was born on September 16, 1952, in Chattanooga, TN. Bruce was the oldest of four siblings and he was always firmly devoted to his family. His relationship with his mother was very personal to him, and one that most would wish for. He always used his role as the oldest of four to help guide his younger siblings in life, always being there to help them in time of need. He took that role even further helping to mentor and guide his niece, nephew, and stepgrandson.

Bruce married the love of his life, Patra Lowe in 2006, in one of the most iconic weddings their families had ever seen. Bruce entered a new family, and brought his same sense of devotion, love, caring, and kindness with him. He was there to help anyone in any way, always for his family.

Bruce is survived by his loving wife, Patra Lowe; his mother, Christine Claytor; his brothers, Robert M. Claytor III and his wife Vera, Paul Claytor and his wife Michelle; his stepchildren, Ty Constante and his wife Laura, Heather Constante, Kenny Constante and his wife Stephanie; his sister Ruth’s children, Chrissy Risher and her husband Ryan, and Danny Reich.

Bruce was preceded in death by his father, Bruce M. Kemp; his adopted father, Robert M. Claytor Jr.; his sister, Ruth Claytor Reich; his father-in-law, Bud Lowe; and mother-in-law, Merry Jo Lowe.
