Brenda Cordell

Waynesville – Brenda Miller Cordell, 73, passed away on Sunday, January 30, 2022 at Mission Memorial Hospital.

Brenda was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County and a daughter of the late Clyde and Thomasine Watts Miller.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Don Cordell, who died in 2011.  Brenda was a graduate of Pisgah High School and Haywood Community college.  She enjoyed her 10 years of employment at McDonalds.

She is survived by two sisters, Wanda Teague (Russell) and Melissa Hyatt (Keith); and one brother, Danny Miller (Kim) all of Canton.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 7, 2022 at Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain with the Reverend Tracy Smith officiating.
