The world got a little dimmer on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, when Bradley (Brad) Joseph Suggs, 32, left us far too soon. Though his time here was short, he packed it full of laughter, mischief, and adventure.
Bradley never met a stranger. From coast to coast, he collected friends, each one drawn to his quick wit, big laugh, and bigger heart. If you ever shared a drink, a joke, or even just a long line somewhere with Brad, chances are you walked away calling him a friend.
A proud and loyal fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, game days weren’t just a pastime for Bradley, they were a full-on production. His terrible towel was always ready, his voice was always loud, and if you didn’t cheer hard enough, he’d be sure to remind you.
Life with Bradley was never boring. He was larger than life, always ready for a crazy adventure, and the traveler who made lifelong friends in every state he visited or lived in. Though we wish he had stayed longer, we’ll forever hold onto the joy he brought us, the memories that make us laugh through our tears, and the way he taught us to live big, laugh often, and love out loud.
Bradley found his calling early in life as an electrician. Under the guidance of his Uncle Joey, he became an apprentice at a young age and quickly mastered the trade. His eye for detail and commitment to doing things right earned him a reputation that kept customers not only satisfied but very loyal. Licensed in two states, he built his own electrical company from the ground up — something he was incredibly proud of. His work lit up homes and businesses, much like he lit up every room he walked into.
Beyond his work and wide circle of friends, Bradley’s greatest achievement and purest joy was his son, Wyatt. Being Wyatt’s dad was the role he cherished the very most in life. Whether they were playing video games, shooting hoops, sharing a laugh, or just spending quiet time together, Bradley’s pride in his boy was unmatched. His love for Wyatt was fierce, constant, and at the very core of who he was.
Bradley is now reunited with his beloved brother, Clayton Suggs, and his maternal grandfather, Joseph Marasco.
Bradley is survived by loving family, parents Michele & Rick Rogers of Lake Junaluska, NC and Matthew & Lee Anna Suggs of Surf City, NC; his son, Wyatt Suggs and Wyatt’s mother, Jacqueline Nobrega, of Lake Junaluska, NC; grandparents, Ellie Marasco of Norfolk, VA, Ivey Suggs of Newport, TN, Marlene Suggs of Waynesville, NC, Patsy & Dick Rogers of Lake Junaluska, NC and Roger & Sandy Gwinn of Meadow Bridge, WV; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends - way too many to list, who will forever miss his booming laugh, his big bear hugs, and his fearless spirit.
Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at 12:30pm at First United Methodist Church with Reverend Dr. Rob Blackburn officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00am-12:30 at FUMC. Burial will be at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations in Bradley’s name to SARGE’S Animal rescue Foundation: 256 Industrial Park Drive, Suite B, Waynesville, NC 28786
