Bonnie Willis

Bonnie Jean Willis, 90, of Canton passed away Friday, December 17, 2021, at Haywood Regional Hospital. A native of Hempstead, Arkansas, she was a daughter of the late Claude Augustus and Sabra Ruth Clark Willis. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Faye and brothers, Herschel, Troy, Paul, and Dale

For over 70 years, Bonnie cared for children in her home.  She and her sister, Melba delivered The Mountaineer newspaper for 25 years.  She was a faithful member of Rockwood United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her sister, Melba Willis Goodyear of Canton; two nieces, two nephews, many great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews and great- great-great nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 27, 2021, at Rockwood United Methodist Church with Reverends Eric Hill and Steve Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Bon-A-Venture Cemetery on Newfound Road, Canton.  The family will receive friends prior to the service at the church from 12:30 p.m. to 1:45 p.m.

The care of Ms. Willis has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Homes of Canton.
