Bobby Shelton

Canton, Bobby Gene Shelton, age 64, of Troy Loop, passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at his residence. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, he was the son of the late Seldon and Lillian Rhinehart Shelton and was also preceded in death by a brother, Donnie Shelton. Bobby was a dairyman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and farming. He was of Baptist faith. He is survived by three sons, Bobby Dewayne Shelton and his fiancé, Stephanie, David Ray Shelton and his fiancé, Diane, and Lonnie Eugene Shelton; four sisters, Patricia Noel, Peggy Thompson, Mary Jo Sexton, and Linda Prince; and three grandchildren, Jonathan, Christopher, and Christopher Shelton. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at Green Hill Cemetery with Reverend Dennis Sexton and Reverend Tim Prince officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Charles Prince, Shane Shelton, Cary Moore, Jeff Medley, Jeffery Thompson, Roy Surrett, Kenny Thompson. The family will receive friends from 10 until 11:00 a.m. on Saturday prior to services at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
