Bobby Messer

Waynesville, Bobby Eugene Messer, 80, passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. A native of Spring Creek, he was the son of the late Leonard W. and Lois Gertie Duckett Messer. Bob served in the US Army's Eight Infantry Division and was also a veteran of the US Navy. Bob was employed as a driver for APAC and enjoyed being home when not working. Bobby is survived by sisters, Shirley Cagle, of Waynesville and Betty Licuanan and husband, Jayme, of Los Angeles, California; a niece and nephew; and several step-children. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at Green Hill Cemetery with Reverend Jimmy Moore officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 12:45 p.m. prior to services at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
