Bobby Marlowe

Bobby A. Marlowe, Sr., 85, of Asheville, NC passed away on Saturday, May 12, 2018. A native of Fairview, he was the son of the late Willard Bell and Thelma Wright Marlow. Bobby served in the US Army and worked for the Ball Corporation from 1960-1984. After his retirement, he followed his passion of building homes and fixing things. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, hiking and watching the Atlanta Braves.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Wayne Marlow.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Janie Ruth Fulghum Marlowe; sons, Bobby (Patricia) Marlowe, Jr. and Dan (Linda) Marlowe; grandchildren, Robert, Hannah, and Madison Marlowe; step-grandchildren, Joseph Cyle Smith and Laura Faith Knight; and sisters, Marie Ellis and Carolyn Reed.
A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00pm on Friday, May 18 at the Western Carolina Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mountain Pet Rescue Asheville or Veterans Healing Farm, Hendersonville.
