Bobby Dan Duckett

Clyde – Bobby Dan Duckett, 89, born December 14, 1935, in Buncombe County, N.C. Went home to be with his Lord and Savior on December 1, 2025. A resident of Haywood, NC, Bobby served and then retired from the Air Force as a Technical Sergeant. Bobby then worked as a dispatcher for the Canton Police Department as well as the Haywood County Sheriff’s Office and then went on to work at Champion International for 20 plus years, where he then retired for a second time.

Bobby was a loyal member of Crestview Baptist Church for many years, he enjoyed watching Nascar Racing and most importantly spending time with his family at Lake Chatuge.

Bobby was the son of the late Everett James Duckett and Bonnie McElrath Duckett. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his sisters Sue Clevenger, Pauline Landrath, brothers Garland Duckett and Ralph Duckett and his beloved wife of 66 wonderful years, Carleen Trull Duckett who passed away in October of 2021.

Left to cherish his memory are sons James Duckett (Wendy) of Clyde and Darrell Duckett (Sharon) Beech Island, South Carolina; a grandson, Brandon Duckett (Ashley) and five granddaughters, Carla and Ryan Gibson, Krystle Duckett, Ashley and Matt Rice, Morgan and Caleb Fouts and Sterling and Riley Jones; and 14 great-grandchildren, Eric, Kenzie, Peyton, Emma, Makinley, Gracie, Cassidy, Branson, Kaisley, Mathias, Brynlee, Memphis, Marsali and Jordan.

Funeral services are scheduled at Crestview Baptist Church in Canton, on Tuesday December 9, 2025, at 11:00 am with Pastor Dan Page officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior from 9:45 am to 10:45 am at Crestview Baptist Church. Burial will be at Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain at 2:00 pm where Bobby will receive Air Force Honors.

In lieu of flowers monetary contributions can be made payable to Crestview Baptist Church.
