Bobbie Wells

Sylva, Bobbie Jean Wells, age 84, passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at Vero Health & Rehab of Sylva.

A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Annie Mae Green.  She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles Cogdill; her dear son, Frank "Marty" Cogdill; one sister, Joann Bryson; two brothers, Roger Dale and Mike Moore; and son-in-law, Russell Higgins.

Bobbie was a loving wife and mother who will be missed by those who knew and loved her.  She enjoyed canning, sewing, and gardening.  Bobbie was a proud member of Balsam Baptist Church.

Left to treasure Bobbie’s memory are her two daughters, Darlene Higgins of Sylva and Melinda Smith, and her husband, Furman, of Cherokee; one son, Charles Cogdill, and his wife, Susan, of Waynesville; one brother, Tom Green of New Jersey; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.

A private service will be held.

The care of Mrs. Wells has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Homes.
