Bobbie Arrington

Clyde-Bobbie Pearl Messer Arrington, age 68, died Friday, October 03, 2003 at Haywood Regional Medical Center.

A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Robert T. and Pearl Greene Messer. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Anna Bell Rogers and Cora Lee Kirkpatrick; and one brother, Vernon Messer. She was a member of Panther Creek Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, D.B. Arrington; two daughters, Diane Pressley, of the Panther Creek Community and Donna Justice of Clyde; two sisters, Ruth Richie, of Aurora, Illinois and Geardine Kirkpatrick, of Madison County; and one brother, Roscoe Messer, of the Panther Creek Community; four grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 6, 2003 at Panther Creek Baptist Church with Reverend Ronald Greene, Reverend Jerry Nelson, and Reverend Sherrill Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Panther Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 5, 2003 at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville, and at other times, the family will be at the residence. Serving as pallbearers will be Jeff, Danny, Shawn, and Chad Messer, Brandon Rogers, Donnie McCalister, Holt Pruitt, and Ronnie Hill. Honorary pallbearers will be Lewis Kirkpatrick, Marvin Arrington, Sam Kirkpatrick, and nephews.
