Bob Dowse

Maggie Valley – Robert Michael “Bob” Dowse, 74, passed away on Monday, April 08, 2019 at his residence.

A native of England, he was a son of the late Michael Casalspro and Jill Dowse.  Bob was employed with AT&T for 30 years.  In Bob’s life, he had a gift and that gift was “help”.  He unselfishly used his gift to help others to repair things when needed.  Bob was a United States Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Vicki Dowse.  In addition to his parents, his family consisted of nine siblings.  Some are now passed and some are still living.

A burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 11, 2019 at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.  A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 12, 2019 at Waynesville Christian Fellowship Church with Mr. Clayton Davis officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Outdoor Mission Camp, 3190 Fie Top Road, Maggie Valley, N.C.  28751.
