Candler

Candler – Betty Elizabeth Taylor Williams, 88, passed away on Monday, February 20, 2023, at her residence.

Betty was a native of Buncombe County and a daughter of the late William and Bessie Colett Taylor.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Eugene Williams, who died in 2021.  Betty was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Janice Frye of Candler and Deborah Trueth (Jay) of Catonsville, Maryland;  a son, David Eugene Williams (Kathy Overman) all of Candler; a brother, Robert Taylor (Pat) of Old Fort;  four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to her great-granddaughter, Betty Warren, for the loving care and sacrifice that she gave in these final years and also to Billie Marjovie for her loving support to our Nana.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church with the Reverend Eric Hill officiating.

The care of Mrs. Williams has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Canton.
