Betty Reece

Waynesville, Betty Reece, 77, passed away peacefully, at her home on Thursday, October 17, 2019.

Betty was the daughter of the late Charlie and Kathleen Briggs Putnam. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harold Reece who passed away in 1989; and a brother, Donald Edward Putnam.

Betty worked as a cook at Clyde Restaurant where she dedicated 33 years to the company. She enjoyed cooking and working on arts and crafts projects in her spare time.

Left to cherish her memory are two brothers, Robert Putnam, and his wife, Darlene, and Charlie Putnam, and his wife, Martha; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 21, 2019 at the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Brent Cochran officiating. Burial will follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
