Betty Hoglen

Betty Jo Wines Hoglen, 82, of Asheville, passed away at home on Saturday, March 3, 2018. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Clayton and Vassie Dixon Wines and the oldest of 10 children. She collected Angels and loved old Country Music and her family. She retired in 2004.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband, Elbert Hoglen; granddaughter, Betty Marie Hoglen; and siblings, Mary Sue Davis, Benny and Bruce Wines and beloved dog, Buster.
She is survived by her children, Glenn Hoglen and Karen (Bill) Cowan; grandchildren, Steve and Kimberly Cowan; great grandchildren, Chloe Hibell and Peyton Smith; special great-great grandson, Kaleb Farrington; siblings, Gerald (Mary), Howard (Thelma) and Roger (Brenda) Wines, Marion (Walter) Ramsey, Shirley (Van) Carver, Linda (Freddy) Gentry; and many nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, March 9 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Candler.
