Bart Hall

July 12, 1966 — August 20, 2021

Canton

Canton – Brian Bart Hall, age 55, passed away on the evening of Friday, August 20, 2021 due to complications related to his courageous battle with throat cancer.

He was born on July 12, 1966 in Canton, North Carolina and was the only son of Ernest William “Shorty” Hall (Juanita) and Judith “Judy” Stamey Pohlman (Grady Kimbrel).

Bart was a proud 1984 graduate of Pisgah High School.  While life may have been challenging throughout the years, Bart never complained, nor harsh words did he utter and was a friend that one was lucky to earn.  He loved nature, fly fishing, and enjoyed a simplistic lifestyle and outlook.  He attended the school of “Hard Knocks” and graduated with a master’s degree in living one day at a time, one of kindness and selflessness.  His elementary and junior high school years were spent riding a minibike, camping with family, singing and square dancing with friends in the Smoky Mountain Kids including a trip to the Grand Ole Opry.  After high school, he fought as a gun fighter at Ghost Town in the Sky, where he and his wife, at the time, Denese, spent many summers with their daughter happily on site.  He also worked many jobs with skills ranging from cooking to an electrical assistant and construction.  In his time off, he made sure to be there for others and went that extra mile for those he cared about.  He will be deeply missed.  If you never had a chance to meet Bart and Jesus is your Savior, one day you will. And until then: “May the road rise to meet you – May the wind blow at your back – May the sunshine warmly on your face – And until we meet again – Until we meet again – May God hold you in the palm of his hand.  Amen.”

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughter, Jessica Hall, who made his world go round and he loved with all his heart.  He is also survived by two sisters, Vickie Hall Wright (Jerry), and Kristie Hall Lowe (Jimmy); several great aunts, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews; and stepfamily; and his grand dog “Argos”, who adored him.
