Waynesville, Barbara Jean Penland, age 87, passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at Silver Bluff Village.
A native of Haywood County, she was a daughter of the late Hugh Daniel and Florence Lenore York Penland. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three sisters, Billie, Annie and Lura Penland and a brother, David Penland. She was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church.
Barbara is survived by three cousins, Viola Carter, Phil Bright and Wenonah Price
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 22, 2020 at Green Hill Cemetery with Reverend Dr. Riley Covin officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:30 until 10:30 at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
The care of Mrs. Penland has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Homes.
