Loving Mother and Grandmother

Waynesville, Barbara Parks, 71, passed away on Thursday, July 27, 2017.

A native of Queens, New York, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Helen Sullivan Powell. Barbara was very active in the foster grandparent program in Haywood County.

She is survived by one daughter, Beth Stallers; a son, Brendon Parks; two sisters, JoAnne Okpych and Clair Cleary; one brother, Robert Powell; and six grandchildren.
