Arvestia "Arves" Edward Smith, age 63, of Fripp Island, SC and formerly of Canton died unexpectedly Sunday, February 20, 2005 at Memorial Mission Hospital. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 22, 2005 at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Homes & Cremation Services with the Rev. Carrol Lindsey officiating. Burial will follow at Chestnut Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in the Sandy Mush community. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home and at other times the family will be at the residence of Claude "Buck" and Linda Smith, 421 Brown Cove Road, Clyde.
