Arbadella Muse

Waynesville, Arbadella Turner Muse, 82, passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at Maggie Valley Nursing Home & Rehabilitation.

Arbadella was the daughter of the late James and Iva Jo Meyers Turner.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Muse, who died in 2011; two sisters Joann Burnette (Roy) and Wanda Lynn Lindsey (Roy); and a brother Gerald Turner (Betty).

Arbadella was employed as a medical secretary by several Haywood County doctors, including Dr. Virgil Messer, and completed her career at Haywood County Hospital in the Emergency Room as a medical assistant.  Lovingly known as "Nana", her life revolved around her grandchildren.  She lived her life with no worries and her love was unconditional.  Arbadella was very protective of her family and was always on your side. She especially loved to travel to be with her family.

Arbadella is survived by a daughter, Joy Liford and her husband, Toby, of Bethel; son, Scott Muse and his wife, Teresa, of Waynesville; four grandchildren, Aarin Liford, Haley, Haven and Harrison Muse; and two great-grandchildren, Damon and Layla.

A private inurnment will be held at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park.
