Anthony Stewart

Anthony Christian Stewart died August 1, 2025, in Waynesville, NC, with his Mother at his side.

Anthony was born February 11, 1975, in Greenville, SC, where he lived until adulthood. He was a graduate of Eastside High School and Wofford College. Anthony was a champion for the less fortunate and spent most of his life working with them.

He was predeceased by his sister, Margaret Stewart, his father, Mark Stewart, both of Greenville, SC, and his grandparents, R.P. and Doris Anthony, Jr, of Gastonia, NC, and Connor and Goldie Stewart and Chris Stewart of Greenwood, SC. He is survived by his Mother, Reba Jacobs and Step father Dan Jacobs, Uncle Mike and Aunt Judy Stewart, of Hickory NC and his beloved cousins, Grace ( Benjie Smith), Anna (Jonathan McCalister), both of Red House, WV and Michael Stewart (Lynette) Elijah, Lily and Amelia (Columbia, SC).

The Family is receiving friends Saturday, August 16, at 1:30 at 116 Hidden Hills Dr., Greenville, SC 29605.

A Celebration of Anthony’s life will be held August 18 at 2:00 at Wells Event and Reception Center, 33 Wells Event Way, Waynesville, NC 28786. Contributions in memory of Anthony may be made to Cornerstone Counseling Center. Hickory, NC

God gave Anthony a heart that never grew tired of doing good. Galatians 6:9-10, “We must not become tired of doing good. We will receive our harvest of eternal life at the right time if we do not give up.” Anthony treasured and celebrated people as Jesus did.
