Anthony Lapinskas

Anthony W. Lapinskas Jr, 74, of Arden, NC passed away November 13, 2018 at the John Keever Solace Center.
Tony was born in Cleveland, OH on July 31, 1944 to the late Anthony and Helen Lapinskas.
He proudly served his country in the US Air Force where he made and kept many life-long friends after graduating from St. Joseph High School in 1962. He was an all around great guy who loved his dog Lady, loved to talk to people, was a terrific salesman, and a generous brother. His love for thrill seeking lead him to race Motocross in his younger years in Ohio and to start mountain biking at the ripe old age of 68 when he moved to Asheville. He and his biking buddy brother-in-law rode over 100 trails throughout Western North Carolina. He especially enjoyed Dupont and stopping at the Hub afterwards for a well-earned beer. Tony was an avid golfer as well and many a fun day was spent with him on the course. His previous working career included motorcycle sales and managing a golf pro shop. Since moving to the area, he worked in the hardware department of the Fairview Home Depot where he made many new friends.
Left to cherish his memory are his sister Elaine McDonald, brother-in-law Craig and nephew-dog, Teddy.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at the Keever Solace Center for the warm and loving care they provided Tony.
