Annie Giles

Canton-Annie Vee Buchanan Giles- age 82 died Thursday, May 12, 2005 at Canton Christian Convalescent Center. She was a native of Jackson County but had lived most of her life in Haywood County. She was the daughter of the late Dewey Cole and Iris Morgan Buchanan and was preceded in death by a sister, Nellie Buchanan and two brothers, Raymond and Arthur Buchanan. She is survived by two daughters, Frankie Norman of Kings Mountain and Glesma Giles of Gastonia; one son, Monroe Giles of California; three brothers, Luther Buchanan and his wife Fan of Chesapeake, VA, J.D. Buchanan and his wife Shelby of Gastonia, NC and Thomas Buchanan of Clover, SC and seven grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, May 14, 2005 at Savannah Baptist Church Cemetery in Sylva, NC.
