Anne Conklin

Maggie Valley-Anne Cottrell Conklin, age 79, of 115 Reuben Branch Road, passed away on October 17, 2005 at Canton Christian Convalescent Center. Born in Switzerland, she was the daughter of the late Samuel S. and Mae Weeks Cottrell. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Randall Conklin, who died on February 20, 2005, and a brother, Richard Cottrell. She is survived by a daughter, Claudia A. Raber and her husband, Robert, of Maggie Valley; a brother, Samuel S. Cottrell, III; and five grandchildren, Robert J. Raber of Waynesville, Thomas A. Raber of Maggie Valley, Cynthia L. Raber of Delanco, New Jersey, Michael Raber of Washington, DC and Brian R. Raber of Pfafftown, NC. Memorial services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, October 26, 2005 at Grace Church in the Mountains with Reverend Dr. Howard W. White officiating. Memorials may be made to Grace Church in the Mountains, 394 N. Haywood Street, Waynesville, NC 28786.
