Anna Warfel

Waynesville – Anna Carol Pallo Warfel, 81, passed away on Monday, November 19, 2018 at Haywood Regional Medical Center.

A native of Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Anna Machecko Pallo.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Anne Marie Warfel and two brothers.  Born on Christmas Eve in 1936, the holidays were a cherished time in the Warfel’s home.  The holidays provided a time for the family to gather, eat and celebrate.  Anna was the consummate caregiver.  Whether it was babysitting the grandchildren or caring for the kids when they were ill, Anna was always there to lend a hand.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years, Larry Warfel, of Waynesville; two daughters, CarolAnne Satonica, and her husband, Martin, of Tifton, Georgia and JoAnne Williams, and her husband, Mark, of Clyde; one sister, Joan Rudewick, and her husband, Robert, of Washington, New Jersey; two brothers, Bill Pallo, and his wife, Mary, of Washington, New Jersey and George Pallo, of Vero Beach, Florida; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 26, 2018 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Richard Sutter officiating.  Interment will be in the church cemetery.
