Anna Balentine

Waynesville, Anna Lorene Balentine, age 60, died on Sunday, January 18, 2009 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Emmett and Joyce Green Balentine. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Doretta Balentine; two brothers, Hillry and David Balentine. She worked at her father's grocery store prior to working at Roses and the Family Dollar store. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Waynesville. She is survived by a niece, Joyce Anna Bryson and her husband, Donnie, of Waynesville and two nephews, David Balentine and his wife, Lynn, and Victor Balentine, all of Waynesville. A Service of Remembrance will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 22, 2009 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Ray Sharpe officiating. A private interment will be held at Green Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Balentine, 494 Love Lane, Waynesville, NC 28786.
