Ann Paige George

Ann Paige George, 79, of Waynesville passed away on Sunday, September 21, 2024, at Pisgah Manor Health Care. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Jessie Singleton Paige. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Bill George in 2013; five sisters and seven brothers.

 As the matriarch of her family, Ann was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, crafting and hosting parties.

 She is survived by her daughter, Ashley Papazahariou and her husband, Herc; two brothers-in-law, Paul George and Bill Harris; sister-in-law, Antonia Gonatos; two grandchildren, Georganna and Zach and several nieces and nephews.

 A private graveside service will be held at Greenhill Cemetery in Waynesville.

 In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Red Cross, PO Box 37839, Boone, IA 50037-0839.

 The care of Mrs. George has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
