Anita Collins

Maggie Valley, Anita Louise Ray Collins, age 77, passed away on October 10, 2021 at Maggie Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation.

A native of Haywood County, she was a daughter of Joe and Gladys Smith Ray.  She was also preceded in death by several siblings.

Anita worked for many years at BASF as a Supervisor in Research & Development.  A member of Louisa Chapel United Methodist Church, she enjoyed painting, crafts, and shopping.

Anita is survived by her dear husband of 59 years, Harold Collins; two sons, Lenier (Tamara) Collins and Heath Collins; and one grandson, Logan Collins (Savannah Gulledge).

No formal services are planned.

The care of Mrs. Collins has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
