Alma Parker

Waynesville, Alma Parker, age, 63, passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at the Homestead. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Weldon and Mary Hue McFalls. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Misty Woods-Goure and a brother, Clyde McFalls. She worked in the Deli Department of Ingles as a Manager. Alma was talented in crafts and loved her garden. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Joe Parker; a daughter, Lora Messer of Crabtree; two sisters, Hazer Sorrells and her husband, Bill, of Waynesville and Joyce Stamey and her husband, Joe, of Canton; a brother, Glen McFalls and his wife, Brenda, of Waynesville and two grandchildren, Rachel and Jed Messer. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Jimmy Moore officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
