Alice Pilkey

Chuckey, TN - Alice Lorraine Pilkington Pilkey, 75, of Chuckey, Tennessee passed away on Friday, August 26, 2022, in Greeneville, TN. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Hardy Hylan and Cora Mae Putnam Pilkington. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Ernest N Pilkey, Sr. on January 4, 2006, sons, Ernest Pilkey, Jr. and Sam Watkins; sisters, Sue Dail, Bobbie Pilkington, Betty McFalls, Gail Murray, Jean Beasley and Myrna Trull and brother, Jimmy Pilkington.

Alice loved to travel and spending time in her garden, she enjoyed flowers of all kinds.  Her greatest pleasure was time spent with her family.

She is survived by her daughters, Dedee Hall and her husband, Keith and Kimberly Scott and her husband, Derek both of Canton; sister, Edith Williams of Canton; fiancé’, Jeff Reagan of Chuckey, TN and three grandchildren, Bobby Scott of Canton, Jared Washington of Bristol, VA and Makayla Pilkey of Conover, NC.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at Center Pigeon Baptist Church with Reverends Kenneth Rhinehart and Scott Poole officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 a.m.

The care of Mrs. Pilkey has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Homes of Canton.
