Alan Wayne Livingstone, age 69, entered the presence of his Savior on February 15, 2026, surrounded by family.
Born on July 15, 1956 in Wilmington, Delaware, he was the son of the late David and Anna Mae Livingstone. He built a life marked by deep faith, steadfast love for his family, and a gift for making those around him laugh.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy; his sons, JD and Brian; his brother, David Livingstone; and his sisters, Cindy Shockley and Carol Williams. He was preceded in death by his parents and niece Kristen McCracken.
He will be remembered as a devoted husband, a present and encouraging father, and a man who lived out his faith daily. Even through his battle with Parkinson’s disease, his love for his family never wavered. His family is especially grateful for the time they shared together this past Christmas and for the many memories that will continue to bring comfort.
A celebration of his life will be held at Woodland Baptist Church at Wake Forest, North Carolina, on Saturday, February 21st at 2:30pm with Pastor Ben Fuller officiating. Burial will follow service at Woodland Baptist Church Cemetery. Family invites all to fellowship and enjoy light refreshments at the fellowship hall after burial.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Capital Campaign at First United Methodist Church of Waynesville, North Carolina to better help expand their ministries. Alternatively, we’d ask for donations to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, supporting research and hope for those affected by Parkinson’s disease.
The care of Alan Livingstone has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville and an online memorial register is available at "Obituaries" at www.wellsfuneralhome.com.
