Akimu J. Goodman

Akimu James Goodman, 31, of Waynesville passed away unexpectedly on June 6, 2025. He was the son of James and Reiko Sakegawa Goodman.

Akimu is loved more than we think he knew. And in his absence may we fill that void with efforts to mirror his gifts to the world. Warm smiles, deep and genuine caring, a loving heart, strong brotherhood, true friendship, deep empathy and a longing to comfort those that humanity has forgotten. His generous spirit and inviting nature opened relationships with and moved people so that the lives he touched are forever changed and the better for it. He embodied the adage "Be the change you wish to see in the world" and the craters that life scared him with moved his amazing heart to try and heal others.

He will be missed so much, by his family, his friends and all who know Him.

Left to honor his memory are his two brothers, James Goodman Jr. and Christopher Goodman.

Private services will be held.
