Agnes Williamson

Mary Agnes Allen Williamson, age 90, died Monday April 11, 2005 at Silver Bluff Nursing Home. She was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County. She was the daughter of the late, T. Ben and Lucy Hawkins Allen. She was preceded in death by her husband, G. Jarrett Williamson who died in 1976 and a son, Loy Lee Williamson; a sister, Mae Parris and two brothers, Glenn Allen and Joe Ben Allen. She was an active member of Rockwood United Methodist Church. She is survived by a daughter, Jewel Allen and her husband, Paul of Canton; two sons, George Dennis Williamson and his wife, JoAnn of Canton and Lynn Williamson and his wife, Mildred of Clyde; a sister, Helen Williams of Lake James; three brothers, Robert Wayne Allen of Frostproof, FL; Clyde Allen of Hazelwood and Jerry Allen of Marshall; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 14, 2005 at the Canton chapel of Wells Funeral Homes & Cremation Services with the Reverend Steve Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Bon-A-Venture Cemetery, Old Clyde Road. The family will receive friends from 12:30 - 1:45 p.m. prior to the services at the funeral home. At other times, the family will be at the residence of the daughter and son-in-law, Paul and Jewel Allen.
