Vickie Coman

Canton – Vickie Louise Coman, 75, passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2022 at The Elizabeth House of Four Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care in Flat Rock.

Vickie was a native of Haywood County and a daughter of the late William Matthew “Bill” Coman, Jr. and Beatrice Cope Leatherwood.  She was the owner and operator of an antique store and a member of Canton Central United Methodist Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Terri Brown of Canton; two sons, Matthew Raxter (Patricia) of Jackson, Georgia and Mark Raxter (Anna) of Milner, Georgia; five grandchildren, Savannah, Matthew, Garrett, Cooper, and Addison; and a sister, Penny Penland (Charles) of Hayesville..

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 6, 2022 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Erin Yow officiating.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. prior to the service and also following the service at the funeral home.

The care of Ms. Coman has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Homes of Canton.
