Shirley Keller Robinson, 84, of Lake Junaluska, North Carolina went to her Heavenly Home on Tuesday, July 16th at 10:55 am.
Shirley was born on June 23, 1935, in Hildebran, North Carolina, the daughter of the late William Edd Keller and Macie Peeler Keller. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ben A. Robinson, of Lake Junaluska; and her sister, Judy Starnes of Hickory.
She was educated in Burke County Schools and attended Lenoir Rhyne College. After a career as an elementary teacher assistant in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, she retired with her husband to Lake Junaluska. Shirley was a member of First United Methodist Church in Waynesville, where she served the Lord in the chancel choir and the United Methodist Women. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother.
Surviving are her son, David Scott Robinson, of Concord; daughter, Ann Robinson Trader and husband, Dean, of Lake Junaluska; and two granddaughters, Caroline Nicole Trader, of Raleigh and Lauren Elizabeth Trader, of Lake Junaluska.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 21, 2019 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Becky Brown officiating. Burial follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:30 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Silver Bluff Village for their loving care of Shirley for the past nine months.

The care of Shirley has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Homes.
