Canton – Jim “Moose” Kuykendall, 67, passed away on Monday, April 19, 2021 at Care Partner’s Hospice Solace Center (John F. Keever).

Moose was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County and a son of the late Delmer and Lela Stewart Kuykendall.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Andrew Lee “Skip” Kuykendall, who died in 2007 and Jim Zahorik; a nephew, Eric McLean and Andrew’s beloved boxer, “Boss”.

Moose was the proud owner of Trackside Racers Supply.  He supplied the support and knowledge to many motorcycle racers through out the years.  His hard work and compassion were so evident in the world of motorcycle racing.  Moose leaves a legacy of someone who is known as “The Tire God”.  Moose’s moto was, “Say what you mean, mean what you say and never stoop to the level of your competition.”  Moose, a wonderful husband, father, Moosepa, and friend.  We love you and thanks for the memories, my Moose.
