Donna West

Waynesville – Donna Downs West, 55, passed away on Monday, January 23, 2023 at Memorial Campus of Mission Hospital.

Donna was a native of Haywood County and a daughter of Marvin and Barbara Russell Downs.  She was of the Baptist faith and loved cooking and enjoying her fur baby.  Donna watched her friend’s children and was affectionately called Mama Donna.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Mark West; a sister, Darlene Hipps (Jeff); niece, Lindsey Hipps; nephew, Colby Hipps; and godson, Landen Jacob (Jake) West/Butler.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 28, 2023 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend John Swanger, III and Reverend Mark Golden officiating.  Burial will follow at Buchanan Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

The care of Mrs. West has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
