"Loving Father & Pappy"

Resided in Canton, NC
A resident of Haywood County, he was a son of the late Ernest Carroll "Red" and Neil Ann Allen Ivester. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Allen Todd "Sandy" Ivester. Red was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and he enjoyed Pisgah football and the Atlanta Braves.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Ann Beaty Ivester; a daughter, Kristy Ivester Sorrells and her husband, Dustin, of Canton; a son, Clay Ivester and his wife, Cary, of Canton; and nine grandchildren, Dakota and Joseph Sorrells, Shay, Ryan, Gavin "Stamey", Riley, Samantha, Savannah, and Lilly Jo Ivester.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, February 13, 2012 at Oak Grove Baptist Church with the Reverend Bruce Cayton officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
