William Howell

Waynesville, William Alan Howell, age 22, of 175 Opal Court, died on Friday, March 6, 2009 at Mission Hospital. A native of Haywood County, he was the son of William M. Howell and the late Roxie Woody Howell. He was also preceded in death by his grandmother, Lottie Conard and grandfather, Millard Howell. He was employed in the Maintenance Department of Hickory Hollow Apartments. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and four-wheeling. In addition to his father, he is survived by two sisters, Kerie Howell of Waynesville and Jessica Howell of Canton; maternal grandfather, Crawford Woody of Waynesville; paternal grandmother, Mae Bell Howell of Waynesville; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and girlfriend, Ashley Williams. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 9, 2009 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Jimmy Trantham and Reverend Jerry Nelson officiating. Burial will follow at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Daniel McMahan, Agustin Reyes, Dennis and Michael Hall, Larry Higdon, Gary Thomas, Jeffery Inman, and Josh, Henry, and Matthew Woody. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
