Viriginia Cagle

June 30, 1937 — March 18, 2008

Clyde, Virginia Cagle, age 70, of 145 Topiary Drive, died on Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at Memorial Mission Hospital. She resided most of her life in Haywood County and was the daughter of Wilma Smart Howell of Clyde and the late William Howell. Virginia was a graduate of Waynesville Township High School and Blanton's Business College and was a former employee of Wellco Rosearch and Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. She had also worked for the Spokane Washington Public School System. She was a member of Fincher's Chapel United Methodist Church. Virginia loved all things Victorian and collected items from that era for many years. Her family will remember her for her loving, giving nature and how she placed others needs before her own. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 51 years, Darryll Cagle; one daughter, Kimberly Crumpler, of Clyde; and two grandchildren, Nate and Kassendra "Kassie" Crumpler. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 22, 2008 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Kitty Crane officiating. Burial will follow at the Howell Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from Noon until service time at the funeral home and at other times, at the residence.
