Obituary

Canton-Thomas Franklin “Pap” Queen, age 45, of 7 River Run Road, died Monday, March 8, 2004 at Memorial Mission Hospital Campus.

He was a native of Haywood County and the son of Clara Henson Queen of Canton and the late Frank B. Queen, Jr. He was employed by By-Pass Power Equipment in Waynesville. Tommy was a member of Plains United Methodist Church.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 25 years, Becky Edwards Queen of Canton, one daughter, Casey Queen Sawyer and her husband Tim of Canton, three sons, Jason Lee Queen and His wife Nan, Lance Coleman Queen and his wife Jocie and Mikel Curtis Queen, all of Canton and 4 grandchildren, Maggie, Kerry, Chloe and David.

A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, March 12, 2004 at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Homes & Cremation Services with Reverend Jerry Ensley and Reverend Kelly Jones officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
